At KEYS, we understand that every child develops in their own way and time. If you have questions or concerns about your child’s development, you’re not alone. There are many supports available to help you better understand your child, access assessments, and feel confident in the next steps.

We’ve gathered a range of trusted local services, programs, and resources to support you and your family.

Getting Started: Information and Guides to build understanding and next steps

Autism Parent Handbook
A comprehensive and easy-to-understand guide for parents and carers of children with autism. Covers diagnosis, supports, and practical strategies to help you feel informed and empowered.
Perth Kids Hub Directory
A regularly updated directory of paediatricians, psychologists, and allied health professionals with open books. Organised by region across Perth and WA.

Assessments and Developmental Support Services to help you understand your child’s development and explore diagnosis pathways

Child Development Clinic (CDC) and Autism Association of WA
Free developmental and autism assessments are available. When booking with CDC, be sure to request an autism assessment to access a multidisciplinary team.
Just Kids Health – Nurse Practitioner
Developmental assessments to help determine whether further assessment or support may be beneficial for your child.
Uplyft (formerly Wanslea) – Early Childhood Approach (ECA)
Supports children (birth–9 years) with developmental delays or disability, including guidance on pathways to diagnosis and early intervention.
Ability WA – In-home Baby Intervention Service (IBIS)
Early support for babies (up to age 2) with developmental concerns, delivered in the home environment.

Therapy and Ongoing Support Services

CliniKids
Provides autism-specific therapies and early intervention supports for young children.
Little Tree Counselling
A highly recommended service offering counselling and psychological support for parents, particularly those raising neurodivergent children. Includes lived-experience insight and NDIS-supported services.

Workshops and Parent Education

KEYS Parent Workshops
All of our Workshops are inclusive and designed with all families in mind. They are suitable for parents of children with autism, adhd and developmental concerns and can be tailored to your specific concerns. 
Kiind
Offers a range of supports including peer navigation and multi-week parent workshops (available online or face-to-face), helping families feel connected and supported.
Sensory Tools – “The Traffic Jam in My Brain”
An online workshop series designed to help parents understand sensory regulation, particularly helpful for children with autism and ADHD. Includes 7 videos you can watch at your own pace.
Plumtree – Now & Next Program
A free online program for parents of children with developmental delay or disability, led by trained peer workers and focused on practical, family-centred support.

MyTime Playgroups
Supportive playgroups for parents/carers of children with disability or developmental concerns.
