COUNSELLING

Counselling as a service to you.

Our counselling service is offered for free to parents/carers living within the Kwinana community with children aged between 0-12 years.

PARENTS AS
TEACHERS

Teach your child the right way

PAT offers home visits to Kwinana families with children aged under three years. The visits are customised and centred around play-based activities focusing on the age and stage of development of each child. The Facilitator assists parents to understand their child’s development, helping them understand the importance of attachment and child led play.

Be a confident parent

A free case management outreach service for parents/carers living in the community with children from 0 to 12 years of age. KEYS support parents and carers to increase their knowledge, skills and confidence in parenting. We are a child focused organisation that is centred around the development of trusting and non-judgemental relationships. KEYS works with families to build their capacity to provide positive life outcomes for themselves and their children.

Building a connected community

KEYS facilitated playgroups provide the opportunity for parents and carers to come together to meet new people and connect to their community in a safe, relaxed and non-threatening environment. KEYS staff model positive communication and behaviour skills with the emphasis on children learning through play.

NAPPY

Nuturing and parenting program for youth

For young parents or parents-to-be under 25 living in the city of Rockingham. Facilitated by Ngala Rockingham and supported by KEYS, NAPPY groups allow you to add to your parenting toolkit in a welcoming, nurturing and supportive environment. You can learn to understand your child’s behaviour and discover great play ideas!

MOTHERS

Connection and support for mothers

The Community Mothers Program is made up of local volunteers who provide free support to families living in Cockburn, Kwinana and now Baldivis. The aim of the program is to bring connection and support to families in the early years of parenting. The Community Mothers Program is available to families with babies and children under the age of five. We accept referrals from individuals as well as professionals.

EPEC

Empowering Parents
Empowering Communities

EPEC is a community-based program training local parents to run parenting groups (in pairs) through early years and parenting focused services. Parent Facilitators trained to work in the EPEC program are employed, supported and supervised by specially trained practitioners within KEYS. KEYS are currently running Being a Parent and Baby and Us from the EPEC program each Term.
